I made a post a few days ago asking for opinions on some apparently pretty crappy bikes. I tried to take advice from the post and search some local shops, most of which didn’t have used bikes available right now, but still gave lots of useful info on what to look for. One local shop mentioned I could meet anyone from FB marketplace at the shop, and they’d do a free inspection to see what repairs would be needed. With that in mind, I’ve searched through marketplace and found this Marin Bobcat Trail 3 for 300 dollars. Assuming repairs are minimal and the fit is good, is this a good deal and What $ amount in repairs would push it into bad deal territory? Is this a bit overkill if I would only be on greenways and light trails?
