I have a trek Domane+ Al 5. Was a gift! Love to use the assist for big climbs or times I need to go fast to keep up with traffic. I had a 7 mile commute to work and most of it is bike lanes or city streets so commute felt very fun and safe.
I’ll be moving at the end of the month and the new commute is 15 miles. The distance is not the issue is the lack of bike lanes and etc. a lot of it would have to be single lane roads and I know how aggressive cars can be and to be commuting by bike when people are running late for work In the morning on single lane roads just seems dangerous and not worth the risk 🙁
I’m very comfortable riding in the road with cars but with the new commute route I feel like I’d be putting myself in harms way.
