After more than two weeks of showcasing a feast of live sport, Paris is preparing to bring the curtain down on the 2024 Olympics with a star-studded closing ceremony this evening.

Billie Eilish, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snoop Dogg are among the musicians confirmed but there are expected to be a few surprise appearances given the unprecedented opening ceremony which was the first time in the history of the Summer Games that the event did not take place in a stadium.
