A chaotic video showed the moment a rioter was hit in the head with a brick then his groin during protests in Southport. Violent scenes broke out on Tuesday, July 30 during protests taking place on St Luke’s Road.
The latest figures from emergency services said 39 police officers were injured, with 27 of them being taken to hospital. Bricks taken from garden walls were used to attack officers and cars belonging to members of the public were set on fire.
The moment where the man gets hit has since gone viral on social media.
