Getting back into the sport after a 20 year hiatus. 39 now shopping for a decent bike to ride mostly street but occasionally dirt trails and the local pump track. Options are ovewhelming and some things have changed. My price point is around 500. Trying to replace my old 2002 Mongoose Expert Pro https://www.bmx-catalogue.com/mongoose/new-school/2002/expert.html with something more modern and hopefully lighter, or upgrade my current setup with modern aftermarket parts, while keeping the frame, rims, and pedals. Tired of YouTube and jumping around on various sites to compare bikes. I'm considering the Kink whip. Thanks.

And what's with the gearing ratios now? I'm used to 44T but most of the bike have the lil sprockets and freewheel on them now unless you're looking into bmx racing. I like speed, will it be necessary to go with a bigger sprocket?
