I need some help changing my bicycle fork on my Fuji feather 2022. It has a threaded system and honestly it's very uncomfortable to ride on the drop bar position. The reach is just to long for me. I should've gone with a size smaller however I wanted to keep it nonetheless but change the fork to a threadless one and get a shorter stem (like way short).
Now I have never done this and it all just sounds complicated. A bike shop will charge an arm and leg for this kind of job. Can somebody get me a eli5 guide through?
I'll get my fork cut at the shop since I don't have appropriate tools for that but everything else I intend to do myself.
(Alternatively I could change the current threaded stem to a shorter one but the ones I've come across are just crappy or too expensive intended for vintage bicycles so Ill just upgrade the whole thing)
