I was commuting to work this morning in Palo Alto. I got off the Renzel Trial and biked through the middle of Fiber Pl (which is a slow road) until I reached the intersection with Embarcadero Rd.
I don't bike on Embarcadero Rd because it's a fast road with a lot of cars and my work is only a block away on the sidewalk anyway.
Anyway, as I was talking a left on the intersection to get on the sidewalk, a car came to turn right from Embarcadero Rd onto Faber Pl and honked at me.
Who was in the wrong here? And more importantly, what can I do to increase my safety? I suppose in the future I will use the sidewalk after getting off Renzel Trail.
