Looking for an entry level gravel bike, used primarily for city riding/commuting and occasional gravel/off-road. I've given the bikes a test ride and liked the feel for both. I understand the differences in drive train, fork, and wheel size. My options locally are the Rove AL for $1,000, and the Topstone for $1,175.

Is the Topstone worth the extra money? I've seen several complaints about the breaking on the Topstone, among other things, but I'm not sure if those same issues would exist with the Rove AL.

Alternatively, my LBS is getting the Nicasio Plus in a month or so and I can wait for that.

Thanks.
