Just picked up a c-line with the s bar. I went into Brompton Junction thinking I would prefer the m bar, but after a few test rides, I ended up liking the s bar better, at least for short rides. I may someday want to do some short tours involving 40-50 mile rides and suspect I will need more hand positions for long rides. I have used Ergon GP 5 grips in the past, and am thinking I’ll put them on the Brompton when/if I tour. I’ve looked around online and seen conflicting reports on whether the GP-5 will fit the Brompton easily and whether I would need to cut the grips to make it work. Does anyone have GP-5s on their s-bar Brompton? Any modifications needed to make them fit?
