- have most tools and near a coop for stuff like bearing presses, bleedkit etc.
- check if my estimates are sane: ~$1300-1500 total depending on how patient/corners to cut
- groupset – GRX400 or 105 hydraulic, ~$400 all in. Less if I mix-n-match and split parts up. Even less if I use alt-bars and mtb groupsets.
- headset – ~$85 cane creek 40
- wheelset – $200-300 pull-off DT Swiss, whatever's on sale on velomine etc.
- tires – $150 already have some maxxis 40mm
- seatpost+clamps, saddle, stem, bars, tapes, pedals – $100-200 of parts bin, aliexpress, and used ebay, already have a bunch of this.

- Biggest "discount" with better parts than the original specs, but it's still double the cost of the other two options.
