Looking at riding from La Paz to Santiago with most of the route south following the east side lower elevations of the andes in Argentina (e.g routa 40)
Looking at starting from end of November in la Paz, lots of sites say rainy season is pretty bad but it seems like the area through Bolivia is mostly dessert and the towns along the east side of the andes lists pretty low rainfall.
There's a lot of conflicting info so has anyone done a similar route at a similar time or have local knowledge of the area can suggest if it would be decent to ride?
