Today we begin our journey on one of the hardest to reach canals on the network and most expensive! As you’ll need 4 different licenses to get here, a CRT licence, Thames, Wey and of course a Basingstoke canal licence. But is this canal worth It? We’re see. First, we have to ascend 11 locks, which need to be booked, due to the lack of a proper water source. We’ll head through Woking and hopefully find somewhere to moor, but as you’ll see this canal does have some downfall…

Hi Josh & Diana that's fantastic There is so much information about the Basingstoke canal I haven't seen another film yet like yours covering that canal you did so well with all those locks and they look in good condition really the Tunnel has been taken over by Bats as I think they had ideas of going into Basingstoke but the bat protection society said No it would upset the bats just before the tunnel is a pub called the Water witch and has a canal boat in the garden for children to play in !! The annoying thing is the bats move out the tunnel at night for a fly round 🙄. 🏏🏏🏏🏏
