I want to plan a tour of the Great River Road for fall of 2025. Originally I was hoping for 2020 but some things happened back then. Anyone have experiences or recommendations to share?
Any must stops? Any sections where one side of the river is much better than the other? Or some "don't bother biking, just drive it" sections? https://experiencemississippiriver.com section on biking seems a bit dated and lacking in specifics. Are there better resources?
We'll be 1 rider, 1 support van driver, and 1 Travel Dog. We'd like to make it interesting for both rider and driver. Dog doesn't care. Planning to van camp (free or cheap) as much as possible and take 4-6 weeks.
