Parts bin bike on the super cheap. My old race frame was sitting around and I needed a commuter. From the local shop spare bins: Sram X9 RD, GX shifter, 3T vintage stem, and Jones bars. I had a spare 2x cross crankset but no FD. Found out about vintage “suicide” shifters and figured I could hack one from a modern one. I just removed the spring and added a fender stay to the cable mount and a pipe clamp on the seat tube. Works surprisingly well! Also thanks to u/426mopar for the fork!
