This is day one of my bike tour in Central Greece, which involved cycling from Athens to Thebes.
I had in mind a nice gentle day to start the cycle tour off, but let’s just say it looked flatter on the map!
Still, I made Thebes in nice time, and celebrated with a big meal!
I will try to keep a tab of how much I spend when cycle touring Greece on this trip.
Today, I spent 47.50 Euro. Tomorrow should be a bit cheaper as I will be camping.

Try denture cleaner for the bottles, pop the tablet in,fill with water, leave overnight, then rinse,at the very worst you'll have minty flavoured water, much better than dishwater
Water, vinegar and soda works best for everything and there's no smell of vinegar… trust me on that! Or you might want to rinse them further? :p
Familiar views of my neighborhood at the start of the tour 🙂 Enjoy your ride!
I’m not jealous at all Dave ,well just a little bit,ok lots!!!
Are you planning on hotels all the trip or will you be camping as well ?
Have fun and all the best bud
Ha ha don't trust the maps and remember, Greece is mountainus country (all over)
Thanks for being out there again Dave. Delayed viewing due to work but I hope to catch up to you (video wise) over the weekend. Just wondering what the camera is mounted on in the 'View from the road' segments?
Stay Safe
Chris
hi there – were the hotels ok about you storing your bike in your room or indoors?
You took the hard way to Thiva… 🙂
It's a lovely quiet road – the traffic must be using a trunk road somewhere else. Your videos are best I've come across on YouTube.
How do you get on with the language?do sufficient people speak English? Are the signs in dual language?Cheers.Chris
