Hello, so I’m trying to buy a hybrid bike via FB Marketplace, but my problem is that a LOT of them come with quick release skewers. I live in a city where QR skewers and seats are just asking for your bike to get stolen or vandalized.
I’ve already had one problem with trying to rescue and refurbish a bike with QR skewers thinking I could replace them and then turns out they don’t make regular skewers that big??? (Which is stupid.) I’ve since sold that one cos it was way too big for me but now I’ve found a 1991 trek multitrack 700 that I really like except the FRICKIN QR SKEWERS. The frame is 19”, can I replace them or am
I going to run into a similar issue??? Pls help.
