even when you feel low you can still go even when you feel slow you can still go even when there’s no hope you can still go I never man I still go hello everybody hello welcome to join the bike and look at this weather look at this it’s absolutely lovely weather again um but unfortunately today is the last day of this good weather it’s going to go downhill this week it’s going to be re shows and a lot less warm down about 15s and 16s and things like that where today it’s like 20s and 22s so making the most of it and getting back on the road bike again to be actually go on the M bike actually today uh for change you know cuz I do still enjoy the mountain bike but when it’s good weather I do like to prefer to use the RO bikes I only ever use this in the good weather but um what put us off today going the mountain bike was that thunder storm last night so I’m assuming the lines will be pretty wet didn’t have to it down last night really came down so yeah so today I’m going to head um just going to pop around dur we first and then I’m going to do a little bit of a different ride that haven’t doing this year yet and slightly different route um and see how that goes if I do the whole thing about 40 44 mil is all together something like that they call the r ride GPS so I’ve come through Durham I’m just coming along the college top now which your college is here on the right just say just passed trees there over that way actually along here is a really bad bit of Road bit rough bit of road with pot hols and crack surface and all sorts and I reported I reported last year I think it threw a little bit T in so I reported again they said they’re going to come fix it so let’s wait and say yeah hopefully it’s made doing for a while I tell you terrible you got to go on the inside the road to get past it so so dodgy and of course that’s do you go on ins side of the road cuz this road can get pretty busy times so I’m up on the fs nearly FS are just a bit further up that way the turbines are one my favorite resting spots before head back up this road here instead of normally turning left at the top where that telephone m is I’m going to go straight down straight across down a big seep Hill uh and then a few more Hills and few more flat bits but just mix it up bit something a bit different there as I see to the whole ride about 40 45 43 45 miles like that there about when you well can hear on the microphones but it’s quite Breeze you can see here there the old M buy blowing around there it’s quite Breezy but it’s coming from that way as you can see the turbines so it’s not too bad there’s a bit of threat in the air actually did there was a bit there was a bit of fog this morning um wasn’t sure how good it was going to be but it’s burnt Weir most of it there’s still a slight bit of a Mist in the air you probably stay here if you look over the top of the hills you can see it’s a little bit Misty you can feel it’s a little bit cooler here still nice still very warm still the 20s but not quite as human as it has been recently so yeah 5 minutes rest and then I’m going to head here n [Music] some clear Hill here it’s not too bad it’s about 6 7% 8% went up to a few minutes ago there it’s not too bad nearly at the top actually it was a FAL Summit as you see back there as you can see here I’m still going up near at the top this time after I said that last time at the top and red up to like 10% woo hot hot hot so i’ come to junction junction here and I’m going that way I really like this road I’m on now good road this this comes up from um Lanchester and it head it’s up uh towards that 7 m road that I call the 7 m road which is like a long straight bit of Road um flly down top yeah but it’s a nice it’s a climb up but it’s a nice gradual climb up once you get down here and usually usually it’s not too busy down here neither probably CU it doesn’t really go anywhere just connects like back country lanes together if you like so it doesn’t go too far afternoon no B is it I know what cows and sheep think when you see people going past on bikes and things what’s them humans doing now the state this road look they ping through a plow field look at this I’ve been graveled and the gravels just come back up again this is what you end up with I know wind don’t a fair bit about graveled roads but I think it would be cost effective I mean a one they did near hours and they did it really well actually when they did he was smaller bit of gravel was only done last year and already starting to come off it’s already starting to get washed away by the rain you think it would be cost effective would you and obviously throwing gravel down is a lot cheaper than putting proper Tire down but yeah it’s still think wouldn’t be worth it what it is who knows who knows so as you can see here just start of this hill just a long kind of average sort of medium I should say climb threes and 5% of things just steady we and it’s good it’s good it’s a good climb it’s about a mile long something like that so still climbing it’s not F to go now though I think probably half a mile to the top you can tell it’s h getting close to top cuz the wind’s pick no more here through the bushes here but it’s coming from my leg left shoulder so be protected by the bushes which is good so we come to this corner and once we on this corner I’m at the top it’s a nice sort of Studio where you get in a rhythm and just climb upward I like Hills out that you know rather than ones where changes GD you go up so far and Steep and then not Steep and then steep again prer just to get in a rhythm you just PL up it works well so up here join what I call the 7 Mile Road turn left it’s take a long straight bit of the road a road I used to ped on years ago a lot with me friend and that was a lot quieter than is now lot quiet well all the roads are L quiet then we could go off for ages and not see a car have water bottle fights in the road and stuff couldn’t down know tell you there too many cars around even on Back Country Roads way too busy way more BS it used to be man don’t when I was a young lad oh so this is what I call the 7 Mile Road my friend used to call it 7 Mile Road just cuz it’s a long strip at the road and back then we didn’t have stra and Google Maps or the internet anything like that so we had just sort of Mark the maps Mark the hills by name of them so so we could like plan route if that makes sense you know I’m turn this road here at this Junction turn right heading away from the 7 Mile Road so yeah like I’ve SE before certain routes we wanted to plan routes you know me and me friend we’ be like obviously say we’ll go along there along the 7 Mile Road over that way down the Big Dipper and stuff cuz we used to have all sorts of different names the big dip air Snake Hill um there’s no snakes there it’s just the shape of the Hill um just all these different names of places just so we can plant them you say was before the times of the internet and Google Maps and phones mobile phones that is I’m not that old we had phones um I mean in the ‘ 80s and stuff obviously internet was just starting to come in but it wasn’t like readily available no people had it um computers were just starting to come in I had an old well an old old now but at the time brand new Eon electron was fantastic loved it but it wasn’t connected the internet so yeah so planting routs was paper and mops paper mops and you know just remembering old routs really remember all Roots where we’ve been and trying to plan new ones so hence where we had names for different places and hills and things just came behind there truck back there with big rollers on the back about four rollers coming up quite a steep hill and he uh stopped the let past I thought it was fantastic how many he probably going about the same speed as me I wasn’t going very fast fairly Steepy shell but the pull right over there our champion what top block the lad actually is only young lad so I thank them very kind very kind some good people out there some good people so I’m coming to this me Road the a 68 this is and I’m going on the a68 I’m crossing straight across actually sometimes further up um cuz I come out up there at the top of that Hill see a white building that’s where this this Loop here comes out out and sometimes I do go up the a68 for a little bit into to LA but I’m not today because um it’s 3:00 now so the road are going to get mental and that road gets really busy soon as I’ll go on for a short stretch if it’s um you know middle of the day or it’s not too busy but when it’s getting Clos to R so down there just on the on ning the r where the trees are that’s where I crossed over went round Loop and then here sometimes I go right along the 68 but as you can see how busy it is I ain’t going along the 68 I’m going to cross straight over down the other side and then go up the back road so I’ve came down from the top from the e68 up to we and I’m heading down back towards as Village we and then going to head back around the valley again so far 32 Mi and I’m feeling all right feeling fine feeling fine good weather you feel it cooling down a bit mine than it was earlier on cuz tomorrow’s supposed to be a lot cooler I think think tomorrow supposed be evoled 15s and 16s and things like that in comparison 20s and 21 and 22s today yeah I think it’s 23 at some point today so I’ll be a big shock to the system but hopefully the good weather will come out again hopefully fingers crossed so I’ve done 42.5 mil by time we get back it’s probably about 30 43 something like that it’s been a good ride been a very good ride really enjoyed it yeah a bit cooler than before but not like cold it’s been like still like 17s 18s 19s It’s Been a Good Year really enjoyed it haven’t done that route around the other side there that sem Road for a little while well last year so it was nice to get around there again in the road haven’t made to be busy it’s I get busy now like cuz rush hour cuz like 4 but I’m nearly home so it’s all right so as always thank you much for joining us if you haven’t subscribed don’t forget to do so it helps the channel and uh thank you much for joining us and take out there see you later bye-bye
