Bikepacking from Germany to Czech Republic and back with the Gäng

I tried to make it short, and I lied.

Here is a small trip we did with the Gäng for the Eastern Holidays of 2023. It was amazing, not just because bikepacking is amazing, or because gravel bikes are also amazing, or the bike setup it was incredible, but because of the vibe, the funny moments, the cold, the wind, the gäng and everything! such a great way of enjoying holidays.

just to pick up the bikes go to Prague and then come back to Germany to the very very very east side and then come back home so to my lovely parents to her lovely parents and get some food exactly food in a hot shower curious Jose Huntley [Music] we keep that same energy on All Occasions we just arrived in the top of the mountains of the first day actually this tour has like 3 000 meters of elevation and today we are doing like 1100 so should be okay look at how pretty looks like actually we were expecting rain cloudy weather really cold I mean it’s not warm it’s too cold but Blue Sky we don’t need anything else so far [Music] and we just yeah we’re freezing so we just stop we get the jacket and now let’s go and we were wondering why it is so cold well [Music] that’s kind of cold [Music] [Music] [Music] it is around 8 10 pm we need like 40 minutes or probably one hour to arrive to our destination Airbnb or booking.com I don’t know but yeah like around one hour and now it’s a little bit warmer it is three degrees but before when we were there in the top oh my goodness this minus two degrees they they did hurt a little bit should I say but yeah holidays I need hot weather Republic from your players don’t pump your tires use tubeless also be visible yeah to all the Curry’s cutthros yeah car drivers in Czech republics they are nearly that’s mean as Italians and within a minute I really made it I mean so everyone we are doing a small pausa she brought the cookies yeah she brought the cookies mother the mother of the cookies and we are doing kind of like a welcome to that actually my favorite way of holiday is just backpacking it’s just like it’s like a mugging about it it’s just it’s great how much you can see how relaxed it is these tiny villages like being in the middle of nowhere oh great probably yeah I mean you can like look shoes and nice hotels as well but there’s this feeling is uncomparable and comparable I matched well let’s go [Music] [Applause] [Music] thank you we arrived Prague now we will do a little bit of like uh City Tour or sightseeing and then I know I have Paparazzi here I hire a photographer hello hello what should you pay um [Music] my face [Music] [Music] and now we are in the castle of Prague doing a little bit like a of a sightseeing and yeah it’s crazy beautiful it’s huge 87 kilometers and go lovely so they will sleep in the tent so I don’t know how cold is going to be but at least we have these jackets so it should be kind of okay we are having here a tent I mean I also have a really warm base layer which I will use for sleeping tights like running winter tights and let’s see again let’s see but supposedly it’s going to be three degrees [Music] [Music] whoa yo [Music] foreign [Music] Bridge and then we figure it out like nah let’s go it will start raining somehow and in one point of the day or the night so it’s better if we just go find a spot to put our tent and then just chill out so yeah all right check now going back I mean now try to find a place to sleep or to build it and so yeah lovely [Music] so we did find a place to sleep actually we were a little bit worried for the rain and not anymore we found we find a restaurant that is down there and they own this place and they lend it to us so yeah chancy hello [Applause] okay this is the place actually where we will sleep tonight uh yeah how Tom just actually just recently said wild quite wild and I know why we are building the tent but why not yeah because we’re bike packing Backpackers feel tense we took yeah yeah actually that’s true good of enjoy or the spark actually that’s part of the princess at the beginning just enjoy but today will be even better because it’s a short one and before everyone or anyone is going to say why the hell he’s riding not a gravel playing just a Touring bike full of bugs just don’t say anything I loved it how how much food he provided yesterday it was just unbelievable so yeah gravel pack light travels continue writing but this was just like two and a half kilometers or it is actually just two and a half kilometers and there it is lovely [Music] welcome to the last minute of the third day for this review welcome to today’s video hello the hood Welcome to our crib hey today fourth day yesterday we did a really small route was like 62 kilometers kind of like a recovery day in fact you take it easy today would be 78 to the end of it or journey and it’s okay then about what is going to happen today the thing is what I want to tell you is about this lovely Hood that we found in booking.com well this is in Czech Republic this is in doski doxy sorry this is in doxy and the cool thing is like this tiny place for four of us well quite tight with the bicycles and everything but better than nothing it was just like 58 Euros so yeah kind of like affordable but lovely today beautiful day beautiful day Blue Sky it cannot be better [Applause] and we made that stop now not just because we went to peeping but because we are in a really weird historical place here in chechai which the people work in these rocks just to take out the materials for making glasses or something like that this is what we read or something like that but look at it crazy oh and if we come here you will see that there’s even humans living here like like this guy [Laughter] well what can I say about this bike packing so far my impressions are well the bicycle is incredible it’s incredible it’s wow I will not say it’s the perfect bike packing machine because it doesn’t have like all the holes that it would be cool to have like for example in the fork or something like that but if you are planning to do like a are you packing gravel ultra distance race whoa this is the machine because it’s really fast so originally this bicycle came with 40 millimeter tires we changed them for 45 which was recommend like as maximum and the bicycle is amazingly fortified they just fly go over everything Roots it doesn’t matter Stones doesn’t matter it is just two so if you are looking for a racing gravel machine well yeah it is and the other thing that surprised me a lot is the tail fin which is the the racket is the rack that I am using right now here in Czech Republic as you can see the streets are not as good as German Street and and the rack has been really stable really stable we have been doing some growl like in a really rough Terrain and The Rock has been very just amazing nothing to say about it I really like it I think I will try to get one since this is from my from Axel so yeah
