Stop number 3 on our 6 country European road trip was the historic city of Trier in Germany. Sitting on the banks of the river Moselle in the Moselle wine region, there is so much to see and do in Germany’s oldest city. Visit the roman ruins, indulge in the local culture, see the gothic architecture.
We seem to have been really lucky on our road trip so far and the fun fair has been in town for the kids to have fun at.
Must see things to do in Trier:
-Visit the Roman fort “Porta Nigra Gate.”
-Walk along the banks of the Moselle river
-Visit St Peter’s Cathedral & The Gothic Liebfrauenkirche Church
-Soak up the atmosphere the market square (Hauptmarkt)
