hi I’m in Beaujolais and not as you may notice at a winery but on a goat farm which is the last stop on what has been a most eye-opening journey and now rates as one of my top ever we’ve been cruising the Rhone River from Avignon to Lyon and we’ve seen The Monuments the ballet de Pap and all of the ones you’ve read about but more than that we’ve seen a whole lot deeper we’ve had amazing moments with guides who’ve shared their knowledge their homes their passion that have unveiled the cultural heritage that built the region into what it is today and those have been the most Illuminating to me one particularly Francis who showed us her beautiful home in the medieval city of vivier and the tunnel there that hid resistance Fighters it’s a secret it was a quiet moment but it shared so much more than the history it was those moments along the way and meeting so many strong women who are running wineries a woman is running this goat farm and the cheese all by herself it’s those moments that are going to stay with me longest I love the pallet of Pat but I loved more learning about the people that work there in the herbs they grew it was taking me deeper on every level at every stop things I couldn’t read in a Guidebook hope you’ll join me on this series and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did but I hope you’ll also decide to come on it because I think you’ll find it as wonderful as it was abiento [Music]
