State Bicycle has one of the 4130 Road bikes (8-speed) on sale ($90 less than other colors bc it has a cheesy Abbey Road chain guard, which I’m hoping I can just remove).
I have been searching high and low for a used bike but they are really hard to find in size 52cm.
I used to cycle with my Dad as a kid but haven’t been on an outdoor ride in decades. I do indoor cycling (Spin class) and I’m getting the urge to ramble, lol. I want a cheap bike to see if I like doing long outdoor rides.
Delivered to my door ($60) it is $653.57. The only add-on I’m getting are combo clipless pedals($60). For anything else I want to change out I will try to support my LBS.
Are there any new bikes in the same price range (or less) that overall seem better? Thanks for any advice or input!
(Adding, I love the Beatles but the Abbey Road chain guard is silly. Also, State makes a gorgeous green version that is $90 more… is color important?)
