You’d be much better off with dedicated flat pedal shoes. The clipless shoes likely won’t grip the pedals nearly as well

my clipless shoes have inserts for flats. No idea if those do. They’re not as sticky as my flats though.

I do. But my pedals are reversible clips and flats for bikepacking. So I wear my clipless shoes and some of the time I’m using the flats side.
If I was only going to ride flats I’d switch shoes, but I wouldn’t say you’re going to be hindered all that much if it takes you a bit to be able to get new shoes.
