As the title suggests, I'm looking to buy a new commuter bike. I currently have an old Jamis Citizen passed down from my cousin. I commute about 5 miles to my job & 5 miles back.
I want to eventually do a half triathlon (bucket list goal) and want to make sure the bike I buy is versatile.
I'm on a budget so I'm hoping to get a steal but, I'm not too familiar with what type of bike to get (gravel, road, hybrid…).
There's a Cannondale Synapse Disk on craigslist for 6570 OBO. Would this be a good option? What would you offer & what would be considered a steal?
