I am from the UK (West Midlands) and the company just introduced cycle2work scheme. Hence I am looking for a bicycle suggestion. Any opinions, suggestions and ideas are welcomed!
Use case: Commute to work (15-20 min cycling) 5 days a week. Leisure use during weekends – this includes cycling around parks. No MTB tracks
Type of roads: Mostly flat, paved roads during work week. Occasional gravel and hill roads during the weekends
Price: Up to £400
Other consideration points:
- Must be eligible for cycle2work scheme
- Must fit into car boot (e.g. must have easily removable wheel(s))
I am currently looking at Carrera Crossfire 3 Mens Hybrid Bike from Halfords. Any pros/cons of this specific model? Any other bicycle suggestions? Thanks in advance!
