Hi everyone!
We just bought a used bike for our 6yo boy.
He's been using it for a total of maybe 2 hours.
We first noticed that the chain jumps at lowest gear, but since he's still learning we said to keep it at 3 (6 totally, only back) and dont switch.
Its at the front gear the chain jumps.
Toworrow we we're supposed to go on a longer walk/ride, otherwise i would've just taken it to a repair shop. I wonder if there's something obvious i should check?
There's a few things I've noticed. The chain does not line up at all front to back. And when paddling backwards the chain switches gears, up/outwards.
The crank axle is longer on the gear side , which is also the way i think the chain is very scewd at. (~5mm/~0,19")
The chain does not follow the gears correctly. Jumps the 5th to 4, and does not ride nice and smooth in some gears. Need to adjust the shifter?
Thx in advance all 👍🏻
