[Music] gbg bikes is part of goals Beyond grass it’s a project that aims to make cycling accessible to all regardless of age or physical [Music] disabilities so we’ve got wheelchair transporter bikes we’ve got sideway side companion bikes we’ve got trikes Recumbent Trikes and upright trikes of all different section sizes so we can cater for all abilities and all ages from 3 to 100 [Music] [Music] we have we have probably at least 15 volunteers um some of them do might do an occasional session some of them do a weekly session some are able to do more than once a week uh a lot of the volunteers are ex cyclists um a lot of them are people who’ve retired um and quite a few quite a big group come from the Le fail Cycling Club and they really enjoy the volunteering because they want to be able to give something back they enjoy cycling themselves and they want to um enable other people to enjoy cycling as [Music] well Athletics tracks there one in chelam and one in Gloucester this is the blackbridge Athletics track in Gloucester uh we also have cycling sessions at the in The Forest of Dean um on the Family Cycle Trail and also at Belmont special school in chelham uh and we also we can take the bikes two Care Homes and two special schools if there’s space for the children or the adults to cycle then we can take the bikes to [Music] them hi I’m John uh my daughter Phoebe has been coming to gbg for quite a few years now Phoebe gets the rush that that’s a big thing for Phoebe she loves activity she likes to be out she enjoys the countryside and nature it’s a big thing for her this is a fantastic opportunity really for uh folks like Phoebe and certainly her peers to actually get access to what’s going on around them they access to their Community um exercise which is so important and that sort of inclusion with other people it’s an essential resource uh it’s something that we’ve really got to hang on to and it’s a mostly volunteer lead thing without the volunteers it will be very difficult to run so you know whoever’s looking at this if you want to be a rider come on out come and enjoy yourself the bikes are fully accessible meeting most needs and if you people out there looking about whether or not this is a good thing to invest in it really is this is something that really is so important to certainly the future of the disabled and access to cycling facilities thank you very much [Music]
