so I finally got my hands on the new team machine R from BMC team machine r01 with the new Ram red 12 speed AIS group set and I did so at a BMC test event weekend you see headquarters are up in Gren uh by the lake of be and the City of bban and The BMC test was down in the freeborg uh area really nice landscape really Switzerland at its best um you see here the cows just chilling out great scenery uh that adds to the whole experience of course of testing bikes because uh you can’t really choose a more beautiful place of course there are a lot of beautiful places in Switzerland but this is uh really it’s top I believe we have great food great coffee which is all complimentary you don’t pay anything for it you just sign up and you’re ready to go I grabbed the size 56 for the review and those test packes come really equipped with the top of the line spec always so we have the DT Swiss uh Arc 1100 amazing Wheels right here and of course the ram red 12-speed axis group set top of the line but I will be talking about these groups set a little bit later in the video redesigned front rail right here and you’ll see the frame the t- machine has seen a really radical redesign you almost can’t make out a BMC C you may have seen it camouflaged last year to the France written by Ben Connor of course there written BMC on it but you can’t really make out BMC shapes or maybe the drop SE St I don’t know but at the time it was hard um especially the fork uh really wide lets through a lot of air of course really aerodynamic not really the purpose wasn’t really Tire clearance of course you can fit a 28 maybe even a 30 but that wasn’t the aim it’s not a gravel bike Arrow cockpit 36 cm in the hoods really really narrow uh and that goes throughout all the sizes even if you write a 61 so uh arrow is written really really L big here also the head tube you see how far back it comes and C tube area as well um overall redesigned thin top tube um it really thins out in the middle right there uh beefy bottom bracket really beefed out that will help power transfer as well as aerodynamics again so it’s really all optimized for Arrow also those bottle cages you see drop seed St we’ve seen uh on BMC for a long time now um seat post again overall redesigned it now climbs from behind with two screws the thing we’ve seen on like pinell but not BMC up until now also here a little bit of Arrow shape uh the rear triangle and the flat Mount caliper neatly tucked away of course and the down tube also of course aerodynamically optimized really aerrow shapes throughout um and you see the integrated bottle Cates right there really really neat um flows the air flows uh around that like nothing and neatly the bottle neatly integrated as well if you use those bottle cages of course and of course the new sham red now also this group set has seen a radical uh new design now I’m not a sham Rider but a big big plus is I believe that you can put as many fingers beneath the shifter now and that’s something that’s sh writers have craved for a long time you see it resembles from with the grx uh that was my first thought actually so a really long Hood a lot of space for the fingers and that like rounded plate of course if someone creates a great design and the other one just wants to to copy it I believe especially for those additional shifters that uh now this Ram has as well really amazing if you’re in Arrow position you can switch gears uh still and the flared out blade so you can reach the brake and shifting really easy easily and it works really great the new chain even but wouldn’t make really Sense on a on a road bike right but you see a lot of material removed so sham has aimed again to be to have the lightest group set Road group set because they had this like title in the past with the 10 and 11 speed group set I believe cassette still one block machined also here the disc grot a lot of material removed only material where it is really necessary and braking power is really amazing I’ve never felt uh that much breaking power on a road bike it’s almost scary actually but can get you out of really dangerous situations um or can save you I believe uh also the brake caliper you see like holes machined out looks really really cool also here only material where is really needed so it will be lighter of course so all in all amazing new stuff Arrow shape throughout Comfort lightweight shifting performance this package really brings it all but also comes with a price of course like 15,000 Swiss Franks I believe thanks for watching this video guys I see you in the next one
