I’m attempting the Restrap Solstice Century this weekend on my Grizl CF SL7 and going to be riding with friends who’re on road bikes. Decided to swap the tyres out for ‘slicks’ in an attempt to make the rolling resistence a little lower.
Had a really hard time finding something wide enough to not look stupid on the fork but give me roughly what I wanted.
Ended up going to Vittoria Terreno Zero Gravel which have a slick center and some grip blocks on the shoulder. The original Schwalbe G-One Bite are looking a little second hand after 1500 miles so will need replacing before winter and the need for nobbly tyres comes back. Also stepped up from 45c to 47c.
Did I make the right choice?
