I've just got a new tent. It's the upgraded model of my beloved old tent, and I took it out of the bag for the first time this weekend. Last night, we had torrential rain for ages, and it leaked. It's a teepee style tent, and there was a lot of leakage at the bottom, which was presumably something to do with angle (see photo. This morning I eas sitting there and watching it run down the outside, then bead up on the inside and drip). But there were also a couple of leaks higher up.

It's the Megahorn III.

So, is this normal? Or a dud tent? I never had this problem before, but I never had a groundsheet with my old tent and it was always a bit wet inside in the morning due to condensation, so it's possible I wouldn't have noticed if it leaked a bit round the edges.
