So the bike actually cleaned up nicely. I still have to work on some rust removal on the pegs. However I was able to get the majority of the surface rust off of the chrome with aluminum foil and glass cleaner. About an hour worth of work to clean up the frame! I also went to a local shop here in Houston and got a new chain, tires, inner tubes, and grips. Removed the atrocious front brake that yall commented on for now till I get a nicer one and install it. Upon first ride I noticed one of the pedals is grinding so I’ll have to change those out. I’ve been riding the hell out of my mountain bike lately and this thing felt tiny AF lol. Anyways thanks for the motivation to start on this bike guys. I’m gonna try to match new stuff to my grips. I think that color pops with the chrome!
Bonus points for someone who notices the mistake.
