Hi all,

I am looking for an entry level bike that will be good for paved bike paths and roads with rolling hills. Most of the bike paths around me are paved, but a few are packed dirt (which I would rarely use). Ideally I would buy something that I could ride 12+ miles comfortably in these conditions. Budget is anything under $1000, and looking for this to be a good 3+ year investment.

What I like so far and need help comparing/picking:

[Specialized Sirrus 3.0](https://www.specialized.com/us/en/sirrus-3-0/p/216892?color=350191-216892&searchText=90923-7703) (on sale for $999.99)

[Specialized Sirrus 2.0](https://www.specialized.com/us/en/sirrus-2-0/p/200206?color=322029-200206) (on sale for $619.99)

[Cannondale Quick 4](https://www.ubikes.com/product/cannondale-quick-4-366113-1.htm) ($960)

[Specialized Allez E5](https://www.ubikes.com/product/specialized-allez-e5-401430-1.htm) ($1000)

Questions:

\- Any considerable difference between Sirrus 2.0/3.0?

\- Should I consider other Cannondale Quick models aside from Quick 4?

\- Anything to justify Allez E5 over the others, or especially vs Sirrus 3.0?

\- Any additional recommendations not on this list?

TYIA!
