I recently went to the Big Island of Hawaii to pick up this bike I found on FBMP and took the opportunity to ride the 360 mile perimeter. I bought an All-City Gorilla Monsoon a few months back but haven’t rode it yet because I had it shipped to Maryland (shipping to Hawaii is too much) and was skeptical about the apex shifting as I’ve only ever had shimano. After figuring out the press short, press far, I fell in love with the SRAM APEX shifting. AND, nobody ever told me but with SRAM shifters, you can pretend you’re shooting an AK47 with the shifter when you’re bored out of your mind in those long stretches of road.
