orange bikes was born in 1988 when Steve Wade and Lester Noble two mountain bikers created the iconic British brand Steve Wade came from a metal work and Engineering background working for the family business which became the orange Workshop Lester Noble was a sailor and wind Surfer who was involved in the sales industry these two legends started riding together and loved the relatively new sport Lester even came 20 in 1987 World Championships and Steve rode cross country in UK events they both realized the bikes could have could be a whole lot better than they were in the mid 80s at this point Steve had taken over the family metal work business in Halifax they were they made their first bike but still didn’t have a name after some time they abbreviated what they wanted the bikes to be which was off-road range so it became
