Recently moved to a downtown apartment in a new city — my work sites are ~3 miles away and almost entirely accessible by the city’s greenways, so I figured now was the time to buy. This was $900 on clearance. I love the build quality, the speed, the feel, everything. I chose to invest the savings into pricy but reliable accessories (Varia, Ortlieb panniers, helmet, etc.) so that I can transfer them to a more cargo-focused bike in a couple of years. I was thinking a Globe Haul ST or its descendants. My car is now a Costco/out-of-town machine and it feels insanely good.
