New to MTN biking, can I put mountain bike tires on a hybrid bike?

I've got a Ghost Square cross 5 hybrid bike (https://www.rei.com/product/102967/ghost-square-cross-5-bike-2017)

Before investing in a mountain bike, i was wondering if it's possible to just add mountain bike tires?
