Hi all,
I bought a set of new tires for my bike this past February. A Specialized Butcher up front and Eliminator in the rear. I've put probably between 50-60 miles on them so far and have been very happy with thier performance on the trail.
However, this past weekend, while loading my bike on the car, I noticed some cracks in the side wall of the Eliminator. The Butcher isn't showing any cracks. They are small but there are a lot of them. They look similar to what you would see on old dry rotted tires.
Should I be concerned with this? Is this normal or a defect in the tire? I'm not losing pressure while riding and I am within the recommended pressure for the tire (typically around 28psi). I just don't want to have a blow out miles into the woods. Has anyone else seen or experienced this?
Thanks
