Hi. I'm attempting an upgrade of my rear brakes on my Giant Trance X ebike. I am having difficulty trying to pull the internally-routed brake hose out because it is wrapped around this PVC tubing. I tried scouring for manuals online but no bikes seem to utilize this sort of additional tubing wrapped around brake hoses.
The picture below is not the actual tubing around the brake hose as it is on the opposite side. But I took this picture because of the markings. Googling the model came up to this product link.
Before I simply cut and peel the tubing away, does anyone know why Giant e-bikes use this tubing around its brake hose?
