So I decide to make an impromptu, unprepared trip to Glasgow…
okay so the plan this time uh is to drive up to Glasgow and go cycling and do a kind of a 75 mile trip there’s a bit of rain forast so I’m not sure it’s going to work um but the alternative was the catch the train up there which is what I like to do but it’s about £60 uh second class from Bristol um it would actually be 50 Quid to drive so I guess I’m going to stick the bite in the boot and drive up there it’s a shame okay here I am in my Glasgow hotel room with bike having driven 7 hours and it’s cost me from Bristol about £57 to get here still cheaper than catching a train which would have cost me uh 156 the hotel is a zed Hotel it’s great really nice um I’ve been upgraded without asking very kind of them £70 a night Monday and Tuesday nights so it’s really good here’s something I noticed with these cameras um can I they’ve got a brilliant little magnetic connector but you’ll notice yeah you haven’t got the connector which needs to be on there so you got to undo it this one put it on there so it completely defeats the object of having a magnetic connector unless you have two magnetic connectors beautiful city try look at it when I come back let’s see how far I get before it starts raining one thing to note the uh lights take a long time to change here this is hell yeah it’s nothing nothing anything okay I’m heading back to Glasgow now it’s wet and horrible can’t see my phone M because I haven’t got a cover for it um cold that’s about 30 Mi 15 Mi out 50 mil back and it rained like it said it would and I don’t know it just just not nice and there was no views there was nothing I was seeing at this stage so I turned around came back quite pleasurable coming back came in via the canal uh back into Glasgow um I think to be honest the thing should have been to explore the city and make it a walking tour um when you go to a city I think the aim should be to stay there cuz it looks really interesting I’m going to do that now okay uh another mistake I made uh don’t wear shoes that AR waterproof in Glasgow uh this is the third pair of shoes third pair of shoes my running shoes now my cycling shoes obviously soaking my stupid shoes that are good for surfing useless and now running shoes okay I’m running out of shoes okay I’m going to try and find this tube system known as the C work Orange [Music] [Music] h [Applause] [Music] I went to this place called The Citizen right behind me there look at this place it’s terrific and I was treated superbly and I had you know what I had a salad halumi salad and a glass of wine and it was just brilliant the service and the meal and everything that’s me that was uh 48 hours in Glasgow I guess and uh an aborted attempt at cycling but a thoroughly good walk around the city and use of the subway system so um didn’t go in any art galleries or museums um I just wanted to see the place and uh I really enjoyed watching the railway station to be honest people coming and going so that’s me and um I hope you got some kind of insight
