Hello All,

bike: 2024 Trek Roscoe 6 / factory stock

still very new to modern MTB and am getting confused some about Shimano CUES spline type & rear wheel hub compatibility; the related Shimano product pages says the spline type is "HG Spline M."

so when shopping for wheels (and sticking with the CUES drivetrain), is it correct that I should be looking for Shimano HG compatible/equipped wheels (I'm unsure if "HG Spline M" is some kind of sub category of the HG standard, possibly meaning it's not compatible with all HG hubs)?

if I wanted to change to a Micro Spline hub or whatever different hub standard, I'd have to get a whole different drivetrain (e.g. Deore XT if I wanted Micro Spline, SRAM if I wanted XD) right?

relevant links:
bike: Trek Roscoe 6
hub: Shimano TC500 Alloy (FH-TC500-HM-B)
cassette: Shimano CUES 9 Speed (CS-LG300-9)
Shimano compatibility chart (I'm not good at reading these things)

thank you for any replies in advance; I got lost in the weeds on this one and wanted to double-check my thinking.
