I dropped my bike off at the bike shop and asked that they run the hoses and attach the calipers.
I went to pick it up and noticed they did not mount the front brake and noticed they attached a hose to the caliper (gave it to them without one).
Upon getting home I was unable to remove the hose, and pulled hard enough that the cable split. I noticed something thicker than the barb and so I wonder if they improperly installed the hose.
Looking at this pic, considering this is with the cable ripped off, does this installation look off? Whatever the center metal piece is is much bigger than the diameter of a barb. Any idea what it is? And is there a way to remove it?
