
i got this bike for free and fixed it up with the guidance of a friend. i’ve commuted to and from work the past 3 days (21.something miles total daily) i got a flat today and had to cut my ride a little bit short and that is a bummer— but big thanks to the nice cyclist who pointed it out to me cause i probably wouldn’t have realized it haha. anyway good job everyone! everything but the climb to the highest point in seattle is an absolute joy and even though i’m sweating and dying and the slowest person on two wheels by far i’m having a great time. i’m gonna drink a beer and figure out how to fix a flat and get back to it.
ps i’m beyond open to novice tips! i’ve noticed i hate wearing a backpack and i think my seat might be too low? oh also 700ft of elevation after being on my feet all day feels like death to me, will that last stretch ever stop sucking?
