My wife wanted to try punting in Cambridge. I thought that this would be a wonderful opportunity for a Moto adventure. I took a few weeks to kit the bike out with a sissybar and ensured we had all the proper gear for comfort, security and communication.
I now share our adventure with you. Enjoy!
this is going to be our first Big M trip yep together and um what’s up so we’re um we will be riding up to Cambridge we have two stops along the way to attractions there’s a castle and there’s another attraction I don’t remember the name but you’ll probably see the name somewhere and then um so we stop those two attractions and um before we get to Cambridge we hunting and just explore generally but before all of that we’re going to leave right now and get some food yeah helmet fastened Carrie is ready and waiting ready yeah that’s good that’s the spirit I put this thing on it’s a grab handle so that um Carry should be able to feel feel much more comfortable holding on to me for dear life when we are riding push it in there we go all right a quick walk around the rebel yeah good those pigs down this is the first time K K’s going to try the um the bar so she should ride in luxury now yeah yeah all right let’s do this first up food I probably didn’t know the pass through so that um car’s um audio can be recorded but the sisar along with the um um the pon grips it’s like I’m riding alone I mean I feel car’s legs um um you know squeezing on me but I don’t feel her body on me holding on for dear life you know and um and you’re very comfortable right yeah yes yes that’s good excellent that’s what I wanted you know and the the next part is the next good thing is we have intercoms um so we can talk to each other during the ride which is amazing yes exactly well kitted out baby well said so we’re going to grab some food and Barnet we’ll try to get some jerk chicken for Kerrie and me as usual you know I have my exciting eggs and baked beans you know I love that stuff all right so it’s lunchtime I’m having uh tune them out um you know so so much for eggs and beans and look at car having fancy jerk chicken getting down in it all right let’s eat and get out of [Music] here well a total of 58 mil remaining according to this thing interesting um but um yeah looking forward to [Music] it I just need to check this navigation I think [Music] perfect all [Music] right all right so we’re 42 miles out from our stop in Cambridge Crow oh nice Van van yeah that’s fun yeah it looks like some kind of off-roading camper van it kind of look cool yeah so a while ago krie and I were talking about the um well I was telling kri rather about the Cali Moto app that um you know it’s an app like paying for it is absolutely worth it it’s about 50 a year and it what it does for you is it charts these um unbeaten parts for you to ride and um explore right so you know for someone like me who or like both of us actually who we like to travel we like to explore this app is absolutely wonderful you know it is absolutely wonderful um my initial experiments with it was um were like using the what you call it the um Auto planning feature where you choose a direction you choose the distance you want to travel like a round trip say a 30 m round trip and um it just calculates it for you and just randomly select some nice winding routs I was like yep I’m sold so they give you a 14-day free trial I almost sound like I’m being paid to promote the kot app but yeah it’s a good app yeah so respect to the devs who thought about it and um the various features that they put in so for our trip what I did is um I did it on the the laptop uh chared a route from North London to Cambridge cuz we want to do pting and along the way you can show like attractions along the way biker Meats along the way food stops along the way petrol stations along the way and then you can put those in like put top um top on the ones that you want and add them to your um as way points and I think that’s just brilliant and earlier um a way point we had added to be our That was supposed to initially be our first food stop um it just spill it out like oh Turner shop right to stop at XYZ Cafe for um your food stop and I’m like wow that’s so cool [Music] where in the world are we now old Hall green old Hall green mhm yeah old as an old man yes old Hall green doesn’t really flow well off the tongue does it all right unfortunately my GoPro produced all corrupted footage after this until we made a pit stop around 5 mil outside of Cambridge we passed some breathtaking views and made the Waypoint stop at what was supposed to be Claver and Castle but that turned out to be a very narrow Lane with Bush on either side though disappointing we continued ahead on our journey and know here we are so we um we’re about 5 miles outside of [Music] Cambridge [Music] oh backing up 8 mil remaining for our trip look to the right you see it but I’m wondering it looks University is with cows over there grazing [Music] uh [Music] n [Music] all right so we just um we’re in Cambridge and we pared the bike in uh car park in a shopping shopping what’s called Shopping Mall Plaza Grand arcade Grand arcade shopping area and um so we’ll have to pay for that parking so now we are going to find the pting place so oh we’re we’re supposed to turn right here [Music] yeah all right we’re just about to work um pting tiets our tour 15 minutes it’s what time 6:30 so hope adventuring and then after that we get some some food I’m super hungry yum yum yeah yeah so right looking forward to our our pting you can see tons of these little rafting yeah we should be um getting our seat somewhere over here so camridge University was founded in 1209 reason why it was founded in this year is because this was the year that a couple of Oxford Scholars got away with murder of a local towns woman so during this period of time there was two differentes of [Music] get good morning good morning so we um after dinner last night we found a hotel a Travel Lodge just for the night to rest our weary heads so we are um out now um just park the bike so we’re just going to walk get some breakfast explore the place a little bit and then um head back P up and head ride back to London so um should be good all right just need to ensure we get to where we’re going for breakfast we know nothing for coffee that’s Cofe CH is mine thank you very much all right looks [Music] good [Music] yeah [Music] all right at this part um of our journey we are now at the kambridge botanical gardens um plan to just take a a small stroke and we have to get back before the weather changes on us so we’re taking the East walk in the bot botanical gardens to the the Central Area probably grab some refreshments and then head back to the hotel to grab our things back up and head back home yeah so this is another part of our our [Music] adventure [Music] as of now we’re heading back to to London um where at the the bike stayed safe this is the first time the rebel has been parked up by itself slept outside and not in a garage overnight we’re going to head back now um straight shot to to London with just two stops um for like a pit stop and maybe a quick snack stop food stop if necessary but um this time I set some fuel stops along the way um so we actually passed them just in case we need to to use the the restroom um because on the way here we had a few close cars so um I ensured I tied that up this time on the trip back it’s been good in Cambridge so see you in a bit all right we’re home the GoPro run out of memory uh storage so um no video really of the trip back but um um it was a quick one much faster than when we were going yesterday it was a really good trip um we saw a few things um we took a walk after breakfast we went to look at the um that time relativity clock Corpus clock I think it’s called um by King’s parade um there a few colleges there and we went to the Botanical Garden so it was good it was a good weekend really good weekend um enjoy the ride back can’t complain right what’s for you babe me take yeah she’s part-time camera lady yeah so it was a very very good trip um some parts of it impromptu cuz we ended up staying over the night um yeah that wasn’t planned at all but then we got to see more of Cambridge in the day and some of those things that Rand mentioned we got to see which was quite interesting um the ride itself first time on the bike for such a long period um and going at certain speeds as well the view was very Scenic so that was enjoyable um exhilarating at some points therapeutic at other points um but all in all it was a good yeah yeah and uh this made it um especially pleasing the sisar and um this contraption that I have on the passenger grip thing so um all in all a good weekend yeah so we hope to do many more long motorcycle trips like this around the UK yeah and it didn’t rain yeah yeah like all of this stuff rain gear just in case we didn’t use it thank goodness we didn’t use it cuz it would have been miserable though maybe fun but it would have probably been nerable you know for me yeah uh all right ah what the rubble she’s in one piece yeah the rubber 500 don’t underestimate it it is a beast no problems with power or anything even with carry on the back it get me up to the speed I want comfortably I can’t complain all right I’m out

What model gopro you used for this video?
England is really green and beautiful. It's reall amazing how they preserve their history.
Amazing video bro!!! 😊
Those grab handles are great for kids. Helps them to relax a little more. I also have a Rebel and just love it's versatility. Whether 2 up, camping or nipping to the shops… it's a great bike.
