Man it seems like EVERYONE forgets/nobody knows that the CKY's, Bams creation and own shit from way before Jackass was even a concept was the inspiration for Jackass. He was the highest paid member, higher than Knoxville for awhile before it eventually became more even after like the first movie. About 85% of the stunts, if not more were written by Bam, and the entire editing style and how it was filmed was controlled by Bam at the beginning. He carried his brothers band, CKY into the mainstream and their shit was fire back then (haven't heard their new shit in awhile) was a legit professional skateboarder before Jackass was even a concept, and brought with him a group of his friends at the beginning with Ryan Dunn, aka "Random Hero," Bams best friend becoming a main part of the core cast. Bam did so, SO much for Jackass it's fucking crazy. There literally wouldnt be a Jackass if it wasn't for him, and in his teenage years and hos 20's he was one of the most famous people on earth. With where Bam's at now, people were fucking real quick to forget he WAS the heart of Jackass. Then they set him up to fail for the final Jackass movie, used a few of his skit ideas and kicked him off the project entirely, essentially REMOVING Bam from the Jackass cast now that Dunn had died and was gone and forced him out of his brainchild, his baby, the thing that meant the most to him in the world, and the final film of their stunt career and the opus ofthe series, one last goodbye and they tossed his ass to the curb almost immediately after beginning to film, with him appearing in one, very quick scene where they're all in costume and jump on a treadmill and get shot off. That was it. For someone who was LITERALLY such a massive part of what made them all so famous, knowing Dunn was gone and this was all he had left that he truly fucking loved (outside of family obviously) and had a real passion for, and they forbade him access to be involved in the sendoff for the series as a whole (unless they reboot it with an entirely new cast at some point) but thats neither here nor there, its the last one for the OG cast. He had an enormous impact and part in making them all famous and that IP a massive success, and I think the did him DIRTY AS FUCKKK!! No wonder he snapped. I feel for the dude. I grew up watching him, I remember watching CKY with my friends when I was like 13-14, when Jackass was still just a show on MTV, and all of the movies, viva la Bam, all of it. It's fucking tragic to see it all end like this, it really is.
