I’m not quite sure how to explain my problem – my bike part vocab is pretty limited still so even though I’ve done a bunch of googling, I can’t figure out the solution to my problem.

Basically, I took my bike to a LBS to get tuned up and unfortunately afterwards my chain/drivetrain was louder, clicking, and when shifting to the smallest gear in the cassette (closest to the derailleur) my chain would kind of slip of the pulley and rub against the cage (first picture) and would make a loud “crunching” sound.

2nd picture is what it looks like when it’s on (for reference).

I took it back to the LBS and of course they were able to flip through all the gears no problem, but they did say when they took it for a test ride there were some issues with that same gear (smallest on cassette, big gear on crank arm) and they fixed it.

My problem now is that shifting still feels more jumpy than before and my chain is still pretty loud, clicking & creaking, despite lube.

Any ideas? I might be the problem in which case, please tell me what I’m doing wrong lol. It’s my first road bike.
