Hi everyone!
I own a Lapierre Raid 329 since 2013 (https://mtbdatabase.com/bikes/2013/lapierre/raid/2013-lapierre-raid-329/) and apparently, it's time for me to change the whole transmission. I do 70% road and 30% dirt road, have road tires and I block the fork most of the time. I live in a region full of hills so I spend my time going up and down. The pedals have a tendency to crack when I push hard so I might have to change the bottom bracket as well. And last thing, I'm planning to go on a road trip (2000km on the seaside) so I'd like to make reliable.
I've decided to do it by myself but I don't have the experience required to know exactly what peripherals to take.
For the cassette, I've decided to switch to 11-28 with 9 gears considering I never use the biggest gears. For that I found the shimano HG400 (https://www.probikeshop.com/en/fr/shimano-hg400-9-speed-cassette/100035.html).
For the chainset, I found the Shimano ALIVIO FC-T4010 (https://www.probikeshop.com/en/fr/shimano-alivio-fc-t4010-9-speed-chainset-44-32-22-teeth/321991.html) that has the same number of teeth than the one I have but I'm wondering if it's the good dimension. The crank length is 5mm longer than the one I have, I don't know what it will change or if it's a good thing. Considering my riding profile, I'm wondering if switching to 48/36/26 (https://www.probikeshop.com/en/fr/shimano-alivio-fc-t4060-9-speed-chainset-48-36-26-teeth/347805.html or (https://www.probikeshop.com/en/fr/shimano-alivio-fc-t4010-octalink-9-speed-chainset-48-36-26-teeth/321993.html) wouldn't be a better fit.
For The chain, I've no idea of what to pick. Would this chain fit (https://www.probikeshop.com/en/fr/shimano-9s-cn-hg53-chain/323485.html) ?
For the bracket, I've no idea of what to take either. According to the spec, I have a Shimano CH51 68/127 but I don't know what would be best to replace it. Could someone suggest me something?
Thanks in advance 😉
