different at it’s the 10th of May May still May and beautiful weather so good to see you everybody hope you’re doing all right we are are we are feeling fit anded Steve and Jenny yeah from Kingdom Advance Network and we are coming live to you from the heart of England Burton on Trent and we’re feeling very refreshed after a good night’s sleep uh you need to know that we have started our regime which is our exercise and we jumped into it very fast and furious Yesterday by going on a bike ride yeah to church we took the three mile we needed to go to church so we went on the bikes on the bikes and uh it was hard going uh it was hard on the in every way it was so hard that’s saddle I’ve not been in it for over two years yeah but I I mean we did it we got there we managed to have a little bit of a break refresh and then we managed to get back and we we’re feeling great today so not going to do it today though or props tomorrow or props the next day I we stick to walking for a Dayo yes but it’s all good you’re coming on stream this morning this Friday morning praise the lord it’s all good so we’re happy we glad that you’ve joined us um I’ve got a scripture this morning it’s an interesting one Psalm 77 yes it’s another Psalm by Asaf excuse me and in the first half of the psalm he’s kind of pouring out his complaint to the Lord you know you’re not hearing me and not listening me I mean verse four is funny it says I can’t get a wink of sleep until you come and comfort me uh you know now I’m too burdened to even pray I think that’s probably how some of us might feel from time to time but it it does pick up some more positive notes uh after verse 10 so verse 11 says yet I could never forget all your Miracles my God as I remember all your wonders of old I Ponder all you’ve done Lord musing on all your Miracles it’s here in your presence in your Sanctuary where I learn more of your ways for holiness is revealed in everything you do Lord You’re The One and Only The Great and glorious God your display of Wonders Miracles and power make the Nations acknowledge you by Your glory bursts you’ve rescued us over and over wow just ask yeah just ask the sons of Jacob all the sons of Joseph and they will tell you and all of us your beloved ones know that it’s true then we’ve got Sor which means to pause in his presence and then he takes up when the many Waters of the Red Sea took one look at you they were afraid and ran away to hide trembling to its depths storm clouds filled with water high in the skies Cloud bursts and thunder claps announced your approach lightning flashes lit up the landscape rolling whirlwinds exploded with Sonic booms of Thunder rumbling as the skies shouted out your story with light and sound and wind everything on Earth Shook and trembled as you drew near your steps formed a highway through the Seas with footprints on a pathway no one even knew was there you led your people forward by your loving hand blessed by the leadership of Moses and Aaron wow I love that your by Your glory bursts you’ve rescued us over and over Lord we thank you today for all your goodness Lord even when we don’t feel as though you’re there you are there you are working away on our behalf you’re protecting us Lord you have your hand upon us and so today we pray that we might be more aware of you aware of your presence that father we might be able to be like the psalmist there thinking about all of your Miracles the things you’ve done the incredible awesomeness of your presence of being in your Sanctuary being where you are father thank you today for this new day for the freshness of this day and we pray for your People Israel today we pray for the Peace of Jerusalem we pray father that your hand would be upon your people wherever they are scattered around the nations of the Earth but especially in the land of Israel father we pray that many would go back to their own Nation uh this season at this time that father there might be the Gathering Together of your people in the land in yeshua’s name and we pray for protection we pray father for uh Divine intelligence today for the IDF for all the security services and we pray that they would quickly find uh whoever’s left these abductees we pray that your hand would be upon them in yeshua’s name and for all of us that are part of this broadcast today we thank you for your goodness and we bless you that you’re going to take us through a new day another day and give us opportunities in your precious name amen amen amen so thank you for joining us those that have come on a little bit later uh do please subscribe share follow and like like that would be great Hallelujah so Matthew 26:41 says Watch and Pray so that you will not fall into temptation the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak and yesterday excuse me on the day before we talked about Temptation and this this battle between our flesh our mind that which will not submit to the lord and there in that scripture it says the spirit is willing the spirit of God in us always wants to submit and do the right thing the flesh man the old nature never wants to do that so there’s this battle and as Steve said we feed the spirit man and we um we do everything necessary to to empower that part of us that wants to do right and be obedient etc etc Hebrews 4:15 is a great scripture which gives us hope it says for we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses but we have one who has been tempted in every way wow yeah just as we are yet he did not sin if we think about that for a moment every single Temptation that we have walked through he has walked through and he didn’t give in so he gives us the pathway he gives us a an example but he gives us the power to choose to do the same so Temptation does not have to be something that controls us and dominates our life in in fact we have the power to overcome Temptation and I like in in one John where it it says there sin not sin not there’s like this massive cry from Heaven saying you don’t have to do this you don’t have to do this but if you do you have an advocate and here we have it in Hebrews 4:15 the high priest who can sympathize with us and empathize with us in our weaknesses so that’s as far as we got yesterday uh we talked about the sources of Temptation there obviously overarching it’s lust and enticement to draw us away from God to bring something in between our relationship with God um but it can happen under different conditions manipulation by others that Curiosity that goes beyond you know seeking after the right things um if you’re not prepared to to walk with God and submit your life to God then that enticement will take you down the wrong path New Age spiritism all the dark things um excessive desires we looked at those and we said Romans 128 29 lists those Galatians 5:19-21 lists those desires and it’s pretty horrific if you were to sit and meditate on them you would you know you need that you need the good positive stuff afterwards because it’s it’s the way of the world is wicked the way of the world is unclean the way of the world is not a nice place we say often to each other I wonder how dark this has got to get I wonder how bad this has to be around us because it’s pretty bad as it is and if you look at scripture it’s in there it’s it’s as clear as clear it’s in black and white and this was written years and years and years ago so the fourth condition under which Temptation lost and enticement can overtake us is when we think that we are losing out or when we think we’re going to fail if we don’t enter into that Temptation we often get tempted to indulge in in those wrong things when we’re afraid of losing out but you know in uh Isaiah 48 verse let me just look at this 17 I think it is this is what the lord your Redeemer the Holy One of Israel says 48 verse1 17 yes Isaiah this is what the lord your Redeemer the Holy One of Israel says I am the Lord your God who teaches you to profit who teaches you to benefit wow what a what a scripture Steve the Lord is looking to teach us how to benefit he’s looking to teach us how to profit he’s looking to teach us how to be successful he’s on the move move in our lives to get us to be better than what we were more successful more whole more profitable more beneficial that’s a great scripture I am the Lord your God who teaches you to profit who lead you in the way that you should go oh that you had paid you would have paid attention to my Commandments then your peace and prosperity would have been like a flowing river wow so so Prosperity again it’s kind of it’s success isn’t it not just finances I think finances I I think we should yes I think it’s all there it’s all there Prosperity includes everything but we shouldn’t go it can it includes everything except Finance it includes everything if you are prosperous you are more fulfilled you have more opportunities you have more choices someone that is not prosperous has limited uh ability to reach out and bless others you know we are we are given that privilege to profit I’m going to make you a blessing so that you can bless others it’s it’s just amazing to me that God wants to do that if you pay attention to my Commandments your peace what Shalom nothing broken nothing missing yeah your Shalom your wholeness will be there and your Prosperity like a flowing river and your rightous ious nness your Holiness and purity of the nation will be like the Abundant waves of the sea what verse is that well it just goes on it goes on to 18 yeah it’s just it it astounds us doesn’t it that men can’t see that the word is the word and God’s promises are true and and this is this is so exciting that God says this is the way to profit stay in my Commandments stick with me and you’ll wear diamonds that’s what I say anyway so there you go so it’s our desire obviously to live live that life of honor and dignity and that overcomes Temptation in a world where the moral decline is fast and it’s Furious we have to take a an an intentional step personally and during these these days of counting theom we’re looking at ways that our our self life our disciplines our inner man can be strengthened and empowered so that our character is shaped I love that scripture by Paul I think it’s in Philippians 4 and I think it’s 19 where it says I labor I labor this is Paul speaking to the to the church there the eklesia I labor I travail for you until Christ is formed in you and we should be looking at that in each in each other I’m going to work with you until you look like Jans 4:19 my God shall supply all your need gal 4:19 then I know it’s it’s one of those you know it’s in the Bible it’s it’s in one of the letters of Paul somebody will tell me where it is I labor until Christ is formed in you I can probably find it anyway so we’re going to look very quickly before we take communion on um about you’re absolutely right it was Galatians Galatians 4:19 Galan my little children for whom I labor in birth until uh Christ is formed in you it’s not Isaiah 48 it’s not Isaiah 48 no I’m G that I’ve just been into the Bible one there let me take Isaiah by so let’s talk about uh some of the responsibilities that we have then to overcome Temptation and how we can do that God’s role towards us is he promises that there’s no temptation that’s going you’re going to come your way that he hasn’t provided a way out so that’s important for us to say at the at the start because temptation is a process that actually if it’s if it’s given its full vent causes we said in yesterday the day before it it causes death it causes it’s a murderous thing it causes the loss of our divine life and um it ends up with sinful Acts so temptation is the red flag temptation is the warning temptation is the stoplight don’t go any further um but if you cross that line and you allow temptation to have its way it will give birth to sin and then eventually death so let’s uh let’s just think about this when we say we we’re tempted what are the ways out and what can we do as a response first of all we have to realize that God determines the strength of the Temptation that comes to us he protects us from being tempted above our capacity isn’t that marvelous yes you are not going to be tempted beyond what you can handle so we we talk about or we say don’t we I’m stressed out I’m stressed out I can’t cope anymore when really got a group what God wants us to understand is there’s a way through take a hold stand by watch the salvation of God he wants to come he won’t allow you to be tempted before your level of competence remember we’re training for reigning so number one I for got a scripture there no he determines the strength of Temptation that comes to us number two he provides that way of escape a pathway to endure and overcome the temptation temptation just doesn’t walk turn around and walk away it has to be dealt with and God is the one that makes a way where there seems to be no way he he wants us to be Discerning of the possibilities not the hindrances and so that we can overcome the obstacles so that we can overcome the inhibitions or whatever it might be there that’s what God is doing for us they’re his responsibility towards us now our responsibility we have to be conscious of that provision to help us in any tempting situation what we don’t want to do when we get tempted is disconnect from God and Temptation can sometimes come in the guise and the pressure of God doesn’t love me anymore something’s going on here that’s that’s not very nice and it causes us to run away and that’s what Adam and Eve did really I mean they just hid themselves because they knew something that come in between them God and they hid and that’s the enemy wants you to do that he wants you to disconnect he wants you to discredit there’s a sermon in that disconnect discredit die something like that you know this the enemy wants us to not go towards God what we should do is never assume that you are not well equipped to overcome this and to turn it around you must be conscious that in every tempting situation you have what it takes to overcome and stand strong so when Temptations come recognize that the Lord knows all about them and therefore you lean into him and say okay Lord what’s my way of Escape here you don’t need to feel trapped um you don’t need to fall you need to be conscious of our of your strength and don’t allow the enemy to trick you into thinking anything less that’s number one number two take heed to his word and obviously the reason why we read our scripture regularly and we pray regularly is that is banking up strength for us so I can remember as a young Christian we used to do the daily devotions every day with Jesus but we eventually called them every day with swin because it was this guy who wrote them he he would write these uh everyday so you know the devotion not yes and you would get built up on those because every day you’re feeding yourself on the word word and that causes a strength to rise in you of a stamina so that when Temptation comes you’ve already got something built up in you you’ve already got something to lean back on to so take heed to his word now we can look at some scriptures here if you want to um but we we don’t we don’t really have a lot of time but we can Psalm 119 9 to 11 well we probably ought to look at them if we’re going to mention them haven’t we so so Psalm 119 verse vers 9 to 11 Psalm 119 great one to um meditate on 9 to 11 how can a young man keep his way Pure or an old man for that matter yeah that’s true by keeping watch on himself according to your word conforming his life to your precepts where am I going to 11 with all my heart I have sought you inquiring of you and longing for you do not let me Wander from your Commandments neither through ignorance nor by willful Disobedience your word I have treasured and stored in my heart that I might not sin against you there’s your scripture so you have to store it up store the word in you I like this Amplified I have to say it’s really rich um there’s some more scriptures as well uh shall we go to proverbs 24:10 Proverbs 2410 Proverbs 2410 says if you are slack and careless in the day of your of distress your strength is limited so in if you’ve got that bank of scripture and you you keeping a close walk with the Lord your strength is not going to be small so build it up and there are other scriptures I could share there but we’ve got a few points to get through so let me do that second thirdly so be conscious of God’s provision take heed to his word pray for strength we can ask the Lord to strengthen us Jude 20 talks about building yourself upon your Most Holy Faith praying in the Holy Spirit get let get those tongues working and let it flow don’t just be um passive or or be intentional about it our tongue life oh that’s a that’s a that’s another sermon rising up there you know tongues are so so important not just to when I’m when you’re in church yeah or or just singing they they are pressing you through into the spirit realm and they are engaging with that second heaven so that we can enforce the Victory and we can enforce our Authority that he’s given us so pray for strength number four forgo self-gratification oh here now there’s got to be that intentionality when it comes to excessive or disproportionate desires that move us away from God we we we say all things in moderation but when we talk about Temptation we’re talking about things that can entice us to less than what God wants for us and we need to be intentional about anything that gratifies self there should be no thought yes or plans to satisfy or fulfill these things that are are are contrary to what a Believer should be living in Steve uh saw something on social media yesterday and he just pointed it out to me and it was a post that somebody had made but they taken there was photographs that had been gleaned from different Church events but they were they were of of females not dressing appropriately oh yeah and and the the whole thing was about you know what on Earth do these people think they’re doing if they’re not dressing appropriately it causes Temptation and I mean they were excessive so uh we don’t have any of that kind of were going to I don’t know one of these award ceremonies you know with too much flesh showing yes so but anything that gratifies the flesh or the self make no provision there we go Richard make no provision so don’t allow it any tolerance don’t give it any place let’s let’s be intentional about cutting it off before it breathes and that sin begins to uh come in so that’s number four number five grow into spiritual maturity well we we know that uh the things that actually help us do that the word the praying the being in Fellowship the uh the the gra Ling with uh some of those issues that we have to press through to gain our destiny you know being under uh under training for reigning means that we deliberately put ourselves in a place of stretching and it’s not a game when we’re stretched in the spirit it’s not a game when we when we do activations it is supposed to enable us to discern the will of the Lord and move into what greater levels of maturity and I think sometimes we can get the idea that this is um this is just the social aspect of church and it’s really not it is to to get us to be able to to wage a good Warfare amen so uh where do we go after that last one grow into no there’s two more surround yourself surround yourself with people of value I so appreciate the teams around us and the and the uh family can family and the mind Partners where the Lord is bringing those together who say I found my tribe but surrounding yourself that can keep the or fan the flame of our right desires into manifestation they that’s what our friends will do they will spur us on to love and good works and um I haven’t got time to go into some examples here but there’s there are examples in the Bible where where different ones LED the nation or the tribe into sin away from God and that was not keeping the the right company if you like so keep the right company those that that want that want to F the Flames of uh the right path and not the wrong path yes yes uh number seven resist the devil whatever you don’t confront you won’t conquer so where Temptation comes recognize what’s behind it getting you to sin and you have to resist him it says if you resist him he will leave you don’t tolerate the enemy’s suggestions or his agents around your life and then the final one run away from those dangerous places I mean you have to have a strategy and a plan if you are being tempted in any area we’re going to pray for you now but there has to be a plan if there’s a trigger you find out what that trigger is and you stay well away from that trigger as a young person I had a particular besetting sin that was a Temptation and I had a strategy I put a strategy in place to conquer it to overcome and you can do that too so um one Thessalonians 5:22 was the one that Richard said abstain from all appearance OFA it wasn’t the one Richard mentioned but it’s one that goes with that um I forgotten now what it was make no provision for the Flesh and then one Thessalonians 5:22 says we should abstain from all appearances of evil so wow it is our our uh responsibility to overcome so Steve’s got the communion for us he keeps putting it under my Hallelujah there well we’re running out of time again quickly so we thank you Jesus for your body for your blood thank you for all that you’ve done for us we so grateful and we take communion today as a reminder of all that you’ve done what you’ve given to us and we say thank you hallelujah thank you Lord we are the apple of your eye we’re Choice seed in your hand and I thank you Lord that you are going to preserve us blameless you’re getting that word word working in US Lord we thank you Father that no temptation is coming across our path that you don’t already know we pray for anyone who is Lord in a cycle of besetting sin a cycle of Temptation we break it now in the name of Jesus and we thank you Lord that your blood is enough your communion is enough to defeat the enemy and we ask Lord where every heart is open to move forward with you overcoming Temptation at every step you will give them the power we release that to you now in Jesus name amen amen hallelujah we thank you Lord for the power of the blood thank you for all that you have done through that blood and so we take the emblems today the reminder of the power of your blood and we receive healing today we receive forgiveness we receive deliverance we receive protection we receive your prosperity in our lives nothing broken nothing missing complete success today we receive it Hallelujah in Jesus name thank you Lord amen hallelujah thank you Jesus it’s a powerful thing when we pronounce the blood the body and the blood of Jesus over our [Music] lives so we bless you we’ve got a great preacher on Sunday so we’re looking forward to our Sunday Gathering uh be with us there 10:00 on Sunday morning and uh we look forward to you being with us and I think that’s about it for
