I’m looking for some advice on how to remove the bearing of my headset (or maybe I can’t remove it all?)
Context: steering wheel is experiencing poor steering. Clearly (one of) the bearing appears to be bad. I started disassembling the headset and got the fork and most of the components out. It looks like it is the bottom bearing that is causing the trouble but I thought that it would also be possible to take out the top bearing which seems to be stuck.
1. How can I get the top bearing out? Or shouldn’t it go out at all?
2. Is my problem the bottom bearing? And how do I find the correct replacement?
