Firstly: yes, I know this bike is probably heresy here, I like tinkering and adding a million things to stuff, literally one of my autistic fixations.

Secondly: despite how Jank and horrifying this bike looks to some, it works very well! It’s more than just my commute bike, it’s my heavy cargo carrier, and mobile home in a way. A tent in the front lets me set up shelter when I need hunker down away from home, and/or during an extended exploration commute.

Quick info:
Bike form (before modifications): DRT 1.3
Mass: 40.1 pounds.
Max tested cargo mass: ~320 pounds in river sand (new forge lining mix)
Extra parts:
BAFANG 750 watt mod drive, rear rack with high volume panniers, full body fenders, single mirror on left side (my right eye don’t work, so why have a mirror there? My partners bike has the other mirror), second handlebar storage part (used to be modified to store some stuff, removed said items after a misfire), airzound horn, basic bell,

Items in cargo at all times:
Crankbrothers m20, prying pick, emergency thermal blanket, storm proof matches, my hunting slingbow, portable solar charger for phone, small pump, a krypronite chain and u lock, motion activated screecher alarm, spare 27.5 inner tube, spare tape, emergency food ration, and adjustable wrench.

I’ve had this thing for three, almost four years now, and the only failure I’ve had was on my part with a curb knocking me over.

I bet this will be downvoted to oblivion like the last frankenbike update sent here, but like: this is a commuter vehicle for me, despite how stupid it may look. I do have a normal bike stored at home. I like to take it with the frankenbike to help deal with the hell hills we have here.

My partner wants me to do this type of stuff to hers, too :3
