Il Porto Turistico di Imperia si trova all’interno del bacino storico di Porto Maurizio, posizione geografica baricentrica rispetto alla città. Oltre a essere vicino alla Francia, al Principato di Monaco e alla riviera di levante, inclusa la Città di Genova.
Il progetto molto ambizioso che si colloca all’interno di un contesto urbano in corso di riqualificazione genererà un flusso di investimenti per circa 100.000.000,00 di euro e verranno costruiti: un hotel a 5 stelle, una residenza di lusso, due palazzine residenziali ed uno yacht club. Infine, un ridisegno del verde e dei percorsi ciclabili completano il progetto che mira a trasformare questa zona in una nuova struttura ricreativa per i cittadini e saranno il legante tra l’area portuale e la città.
Gli architetti Attilio Giaquinto e Norberto Vairano (co-fondatori di Architectural Solutions di Torino) insieme allo Studio Mediapolis Engineering srl hanno attualizzato e trasformato i vecchi progetti del Porto Turistico della Città di Imperia, non solo per renderli più contemporanei architettonicamente ma anche per le mutate esigenze in tema di ecosostenibilità e risparmio energetico. Proprio l’indispensabile attenzione alle esigenze ambientali, al mutato scenario internazionale e al controllo energetico hanno dettato le linee progettuali al fine di garantire la valorizzazione di un’area così importante e determinante per realizzare una visione futura del nuovo modo di vivere il mare la città e il suo porto. Una cerniera verde tra zona portuale e centro storico che sia vissuta dai cittadini grazie all’integrazione di servizi sempre più richiesti dal vivere attuale, l’utilizzo di frangisole fotovoltaici per ombreggiare gli edifici più esposti al sole e i parcheggi, l’inserimento di isole climatiche, il recupero dell’ecosistema marino mediante tecnologie sofisticate, l’attenzione al benessere e all’inclusività sono alcuni dei punti chiave su cui Architectural Solutions ha puntato per la nuova vita del porto d’Imperia.
The Imperia Marina is located within the historic basin of Porto Maurizio, in a geographically central position with respect to the City. Additionally, it is located close to France, the Principality of Monaco, and the Riviera di Levante, including the city of Genoa. The ambitious project for the new Marina, which is part of an urban context undergoing redevelopment, involves an investment of about 100 million Euros. The area will feature a 5-star hotel, a luxury residence, two residential buildings and a yacht club. In addition, the redesign of green areas and bike paths completes the project aimed at transforming this area into a new recreational structure for citizens, and will be the link between the Marina and the city.
The Architects Attilio Giaquinto and Norberto Vairano, co-founders of Architectural Solutions srl based in Turin, together with Studio Mediapolis Engineering srl, updated and transformed the old design of the Marina of the City of Imperia. The new project updates the architecture of the masterplan, but above all meets the changing needs in terms of eco-sustainability and energy savings. Attention to environmental needs, internationalization of the city and energy control have been the guidelines for the renovation and development project of the Marina, which is an important and crucial area for realizing a future future vision of the new way of living the sea, the city and its Marina. Some of the key points the project team worked on to develop the design of the new marina are: the creation of a green link between the Sea and the Historical City Center that can be enjoyed by citizens, the use of photovoltaic sunshades to shade buildings and parking areas, the restoration of the marine ecosystem using sophisticated technologies, and above all the attention to well-being and inclusivity of users and inhabitants.
