Made it through my first bikepacking trip! I went into it a bit over my head but made out on the other side. I have a Marin Olema 2, mostly stock aside from some bags I added.
In hindsight I would’ve used devoted panniers that rest closer to the ground to help with balance and control. I’d also buy a Velcro Nalgene holder to attach to the bottom of my frame and to keep the water off my back. Any other thoughts would be appreciated. Btw does anyone know about this bike? I can’t find much info on it even after over a year of owning it. Works well for me.
Overall super fun trip along the Central Coast. Amazingly no flats or other mechanical issues!
